El Nido Andino is one of the few campsites near Bogotá where you don't have to carry a thing: the tent, sleeping bag and mat are all included. We're on a coffee farm between La Mesa and Cachipay, a couple of hours from the city, in warm-temperate country (pool weather by day, cool enough to sleep well at night). You camp inside the farm, so you have bathrooms, hot showers, wifi and people looking out for you, without losing the feeling of being out in nature.
Beyond the campsite you get an outdoor pool and jacuzzi (shared with the other guests), trails, the coffee plantation and birds to watch. If you already have your own gear, bring it and pay a reduced rate for the spot. It's a great plan for a weekend escape, time as a couple, or the kids' first night camping. We cover it all in our guide to camping near Bogotá.

A very pleasant experience for the family; both children and adults enjoyed our stay there. The guided tour with Luis Carlos was fantastic; his kindness, engaging presentation, and passion for nature made the tour very enjoyable. The food was delicious, with a homemade taste.
